What changes for commanders
Skydio remains the flight-management system, while Tablet Command users can see aircraft location and choose the live feed from their incident view. The companies first demonstrated the integration at a September conference.
Operational value
Putting imagery beside the incident map could reduce the time spent switching applications or relaying verbal updates. The benefit depends on network resilience, access controls, pilot coordination and whether field teams receive the same timely picture.
What has not been measured
The release cites rapid launch and arrival times for Skydio programs, but it does not provide independent evidence that this integration shortens response or improves outcomes. Agency deployments and after-action data would make that clearer.
