Arrive AI and Modovolo announced an October 9 partnership to connect the Lift modular drone with Arrive Point receiving stations. Their goal is an unattended handoff, but the work remains at the integration stage. Source: Arrive AI investor newsroom.

The proposed handoff
Modovolo says it is starting with a winch prototype that would lower a parcel into a secure station. Arrive AI would supply the receiving hardware and software. The engineering task is precise alignment and reliable transfer in changing wind and weather, not simply flying a route.
What has actually happened
The companies describe a plan for integration work and test-bed operations at Arrive AI’s Fishers, Indiana headquarters. They have not announced a completed flight trial, service launch, route approval or commercial operating data for this joint system.
Why the final metres matter
A controlled receiving point could reduce exposed doorstep deliveries and remove the need for a recipient to be present. It also adds cost, siting and maintenance questions: the aircraft, winch, station and customer order system would all have to work together repeatedly.
Next evidence to watch
A live demonstration, independent reliability figures and any required aviation approvals would show whether the concept can move beyond a partnership announcement. The companies say live food deliveries in Fishers would follow testing and regulatory approval.
