Skydio introduced ISR Command on October 13 as software for its X10D tactical drone. The company says one operator can manage two aircraft, pass surveillance context between them and share live information over tactical networks. Skydio.

The workflow Skydio describes
ISR Command brings mission planning, aircraft control, subject tracking and tactical data exchange into one controller workflow. Skydio says a second X10D can take over observation as the first returns to change its battery, reducing the gap in coverage.
Network and navigation claims
The company says the system connects with TAK and the Army’s Next Generation C2 environment, and that X10D can navigate without GNSS using onboard cameras. These are company-described capabilities; the announcement does not provide an independent comparison or field test under severe interference.
Why software matters
For small units, adding more drones alone can increase operator burden. Coordinating handoffs and shared positions may make limited aircraft time more useful, provided links, battery logistics and human supervision work in the field.
What remains to verify
Skydio says ISR Command is available now, but the announcement gives no independent endurance data, procurement quantity or demonstrated reliability for sustained contested missions. Buyers will need to test those claims in their own conditions.
